The research interests of the biologically-inspired intelligence lie at the intersection of computer vision, robotics and biology. Through the abstraction of the design principles of biological systems, we explore the applications of bio-inspired sensors (Event-based Camera), bio-inspired algorithms (Spiking Neural Networks), and bio-inspired hardware in robotic systems. Our main goals are to engineer novel robotic applications which are more adaptive, maneuverable, resilient and energy-efficient through a deeper understanding of adaptivity and autonomy of biology.
